Play & Talk Crew is designed for kindergarten-age children who are ready to expand their social skills within a small and supportive peer group.
Children will practice skills such as joining play, communicating with peers, taking turns, sharing, following group directions, participating in conversations, expressing ideas, and working through everyday social situations.
Games, creative activities, cooperative play, movement, and guided peer interactions give children opportunities to practice these skills as they naturally occur.
Children may also practice waiting, flexibility, handling changes, asking peers to play, responding to others, and navigating small disagreements or frustrations.
Is Play & Talk Crew a Good Fit?
This group is designed for children who are beginning to participate successfully with several peers but may still benefit from additional teaching, modeling, prompting, and adult support.
Children should have a functional way to communicate, be able to participate in short group activities, follow simple directions with support, transition between activities, and engage alongside or with peers.
The goal isn’t independence with every skill — it’s being ready to practice those skills within a group.
