Kidz Connect Minis is designed for our youngest learners who are beginning to explore social play and peer interaction.
Children will learn and practice foundational social skills including joint attention, functional and social play, social language, turn-taking, sharing, and participation in group activities.
Through play-based activities and guided interactions, children will build confidence engaging with peers in a supportive environment.
Activities may include interactive toys, pretend play, music and movement, sensory activities, simple games, crafts, and other preschool-friendly experiences that naturally encourage children to notice, communicate, and play with one another.
Is Kidz Connect Minis a Good Fit?
Children do not need to independently demonstrate all of the skills taught in Minis. This group is designed to help those skills develop.
Children should be able to participate in a supported social experience with at least one peer, engage with preferred toys or activities, and communicate basic wants and needs using their current communication system.
Minis may be a good fit for children who receive a combination of individualized and small-group instruction during their preschool or Pre-K day and are ready for additional opportunities to engage with peers.
